Frequently Asked Questions
What is the decibel level of your callers?
Our 612 Cassette Caller has an audio output of 110 Db. The Preymaster Digital Caller performs at a range of 98-104 Db. The Attractor is 90+ Db.

How long will the batteries last in my Preymaster?
That will depend on a lot of variables, like whether you are playing the sound continuously or starting and stopping the unit. The four AA batteries used in the Preymaster have a battery life of 2500 MA or approximately seven hours if the caller is played continuously. Most people will start and stop the sounds so the battery life would be much longer. In comparison, one 9-volt alkaline battery will produce 1.52 hours of continuous play. Removing the batteries while the caller is in storage will prolong battery life.

How long will the sounds play on the Preymaster?
Each sound will play continuously in 60-second loops. You can hit the off button to stop the sound. The Preymaster also allows you to play two sounds at once.

Can I leave the sound cards in the Preymaster when I am not using it?
You should remove the sound cards when the unit is not in use. Storing the Preymaster with a sound card inserted allows a slow drain on the batteries and will shorten battery life over a long period of time.

How long should you play the cassette at a time in the 612 Caller?
Generally play the cassette for a couple of minutes then turn it off for a few minutes before starting again. If no response after 3-4 sequences, you should probably change stands.

I am having difficulty taking the battery out of my electronic caller. Can I damage the caller by using too much force to remove the battery?
The battery is attached to the bottom of the cassette deck with double-sided tape. Remove +/- battery terminals, and then take a 2 inch putty knife or a butter knife, spray it with WD-40, and then work the knife down between the tape and the battery. This will free the battery from the tape and allow you to remove the battery. (Be careful not to pry with the knife, as that may cause damage to the cassette deck.)
